Welcome to Aquebogue
AQUEBOGUE is a hamlet in the township of Riverhead. Its name means “head of the bay” when translated from the Indian language. Aquebogue is known for its antique fair and wineries. An organic farm, landmark dining and marinas can be found in this quiet hamlet. Aquebogue is in Riverhead Township and enjoys all of its parks and beaches such as Iron Pier, Reeves Park and Jamesport Beach.
Riverhead is sometimes known as the gateway to the east. Cross County Road 105 and the Long Island wine trail signs appear, leaving bustling Riverhead far behind. The start of the long and scenic Route 25 begins here.

Marc Rishe
LICENSED SALESPERSON
“After all these years, I’ve finally made it home”
After growing up on the North Fork, I spent the last decade and a half in the fast paced world that is NYC real estate, working with some of the most well known developers and managing some of the most prestigious properties in the City.
For close to 10 years, I worked for one of the largest management companies in North America, First Service Residential, responsible for consulting and opening over a dozen new development projects for some of the most well respected developers in New York.
Despite quickly climbing the “corporate ladder”, I still always dreamed about returning to the North Fork.
When I bought my house in Greenport in 2014, that dream came a little closer to reality. I “headed east” with my North Fork wife, Jayme, every weekend, not just during the summer, but year round. It was almost as if we travelled to the city for work every Monday morning and returned “home” each Friday night.
In 2016, I joined one of the most well known commercial developers in the world, Tishman Speyer. The challenge was to open Tishman Speyer’s first ground up residential project, a 2,000 unit luxury rental property in Long Island City, NY. I guided the asset to become a premier property in NYC, beating all internal and external projections.
When our daughter was born in 2017, we continued to split our weeks between NYC and Greenport however it became even more clear that the North Fork is where we wanted to be full time as we raised our daughter.
Though the Covid Pandemic was an incredibly difficult experience for everyone, it was truly the catalyst that ultimately led to our full time return to the North Fork and we finally took the leap this April.
For those who know us, this year has been an unimaginably difficult one on a person level, but the love and support from our family, friends, and North Fork community has been overwhelming. This has only further galvanized that this is exactly where we want to be surrounded by the people we want to be with.
After all these years, I’ve finally made it home.
As for my next chapter, I am so excited to be joining North Fork Real Estate full time. I will look to use my skills and experience, coupled with my deep history and passion for the North Fork to serve our community in every way possible. Whether you are looking to sell, buy, rent, invest, need management services, or anything in between, you can count on me to be the fiercest advocate for you and this amazing place I call home.
